The Vols blocked a punt in the 1^st quarter to set up Heath Shuler's 11 yard TD scramble.

Tennessee led 14-0 after a James Stewart TD run of 15 yards, and 17-7 at the break.

Charlie Garner broke loose for 82 of the 250 rushing yards on the day for the Vols.

The nail in the coffin for the Gators came when the downpour started as Shuler hit Mose Phillips on a swing pass that went for 66 yards.
