The original scoreboard was erected in the 1920's and featured an electronic address system. It stood just behind the north endzone This photo is from the '34 Duke game.

This first scoreboard was replaced for the 1940 season with this much larger, more ornate board with inside accommodations for score keepers. It stood on the hill, just east of Alumni Gym. This photo is from the '50 Kentucky game, covered with snow. This board stood for several years, unused, behind the new scoreboard when replaced in 1966.

When the temporary north end zone bleachers were built in 1966, they were capped by this larger, all electric board which stood through the 1979 season and brought down when the lower north end zone was bowled in.

Smaller scoreboards were installed in the mid '70's on the east and west overhang of the upper decks. In 1980, another small board was placed on the overhang of the south upper deck and the following scoreboard was placed atop the new permanent north endzone.

In 1996, the north upper deck was completed, making Neyland Stadium a complete, double-decked bowl. With it came new scoreboards located on all sides of the stadium.

A new scoreboard was added with the addition of the jumbo tron high atop the north endzone in 1999.
