The Kickers!

Kicking duties were generally handled by tailbacks and quarterbacks in the single-wing days. Players highly regarded for their running and passing, were excellent kickers as well. Players such as George Cafego, Beattie Feathers, Bobby Dodd, Hank Lauricella, Johnny Majors and Babe Wood were all great kickers in their time. As the rules and procedures of football changed, kicking became a specialty. The free substitution rule enabled coaches to appoint certain players for kicking duties. Following are some of the great UT modern era kickers.
